Our pieces are limited. We endeavour to ensure that our products advertised on this website are current however in the unlikely situation of a product not being available we will contact you.
Please note all sales are final and can not be cancelled once processed.


Product care
We design our products to be cared for and maintained/restored with ease. The majority of our pieces are finished with a danish oil and thus should not be exposed to intense heat or prolonged encounters with water. 


Our serving boards and disk racks are finished with a durable and food safe tung oil – we recommend avoiding the dishwasher and applying a fresh coat of tung oil every now and then, which can be found in your local hardware store.


Payment
Payments can be made through Paypal. 

If you don't have a Paypal or are having trouble processing a sale please contact hello@theriver.co.nz for bank transfer details. The River takes every precaution to make the process of sale as safe as possible but please remember no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. We do not hold any payment details on record.


Production Descriptions
We strive to ensure that our products are described as accurately as possible on our website, however we embrace variations and imperfections that come with the process of handcrafting one-off pieces of furniture. Presence of such irregularities and subtle imperfections constitute the materiality of wood. This must be accepted before the sale is processed. Where we become aware of any misdescriptions, we reserve the right to correct any errors or omission.


Delivery (for non made-to-order pieces)
We use NZ Couriers. Delivery time 3-5 Days.
Your order will be dispatched once we have received your payment in full. Once payment is complete you will be sent a confirmation email. We endeavour to dispatch your order as quickly as possible but please allow 2-3 days for your shipping track and trace number to be received.

We currently do not ship outside of New Zealand. 

All risk of loss and damage to the goods passes on to you once we have dispatched your order.


Returns and Refunds Policy
We do not accept 'change of mind' refunds or exchanges on any made-to-order piece.

Custom Orders
We require payment in full before work commences on custom orders and do not accept 'change of mind' refunds or exchanges. 

Sale Pieces
We do not offer refund or exchange on sale items. if you have any questions regarding this, kindly contact us hello@theriver.co.nz

Faulty
Faulty pieces will be dealt with on a case by case basis. All pieces should be inspected on delivery. Notification of any shortages in performance is required within 24 hours. Please direct your notification to hello@theriver.co.nz All pieces returned as faulty will be inspected when received and any pieces that appear to have been damaged or used by customer will not be accepted as faulty. We will replace or repair a faulty piece if a replacement is in stock and available. Returns of faulty goods must be returned to us within 14 days of being received by you. In case we cannot offer you a replacement, a full return will be granted. Returns received outside the above time frames will not be accepted.
